A hint for your eye health

Did you know adding 1 drop of lavender oil (lavandula officinalis) to your mascara will add an antibacterial factor to your mascara, plus, it will extend the life of your mascara and will also condition, lengthen and promote the growth your lashes? And, it smells terrific!

Your Essential Oil Medicine Chest

1.   Lavender Oil (Lavendula angustifolia):

Lavender, generally regarded as the most versatile therapeutic essential oil, is the one to have in your in your home medicine cabinet, first aid kit, car or purse. It is both strong and gentle and can be used “neat” (undiluted) directly on the skin. Beware; however, because as amazing and therapeutic Lavender is, it is, also, the most corrupted essential oil on the market. Take care to buy True Lavender, Lavendula angustifolia.  (Lavendula Officinalis is the scientific name)

Lavender: is an analgesic (painkiller), antiseptic (prevents infection), anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-anxiety, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory (sprains, strains), a sedative, promotes healing (sores, blisters, burns, cuts), mucolytic (break down mucous) and helps central nervous system regulation.

A miracle in a small bottle, Lavender is good for burns, headaches, a natural deodorant, scars, cuts, acne, earaches, cramps, sleep, insomnia, bathing, colds and as a perfume. This is just a sample of what Lavender oil is good for and should be the beginning foundation of your first aid cabinet.
